RadioOnFire.com - The University of North Carolina-Charlotte was on lockdown on Tuesday (April 30) evening after a deadly shooting that left two people dead and four others injured. The injuries of the survivors, whose identities haven't been revealed, ranged from life-threatening to non-life-threatening.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg police also revealed that one person has been taken into custody, but their identity has also not been revealed. A large number of students were headed to a free concert by Waka Flocka to celebrate the last day of classes around 5:45 pm when they were alerted of a shooting. The concert was ultimately canceled.
Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles released a statement on Twitter, writing, "My thoughts are with the families of those who lost their lives, those injured, the entire UNCC community and the courageous first responders who sprang into action to help others."
