Baltimore County police are investigating a homicide at an apartment complex in Towson.

More than a dozen Baltimore County police officers were called Friday morning to the Towson Town Place apartments in the 6900 block of Lachlan Circle in Towson, where a man was found bleeding and unconscious on a sidewalk.

“We had someone call 911 saying that they saw somebody who was on the sidewalk and was bleeding profusely,” Baltimore County police Officer Jennifer Peach said.

County police told 11 News Friday afternoon that the man died at a hospital from unknown injuries. Police are treating the investigation as a homicide. Peach said officers are still trying to determine what the man’s injuries were.

“We’re still working to determine how the person suffered these injuries, what the injuries were caused from. We know the extent of the injuries because he subsequently died of them,” Peach said.

Earlier, Towson University police sent an email to the campus community saying there was an off-campus homicide. The email stated: “Baltimore County Police Department responded to a call for a victim on the ground in the area of 6900 Lachlan Circle.”

“We (got) a communication from the police in the area, like from email from Towson (University), and they said there was a murder at 9:48 in Lachlan Circle,” said Bayann Amer, a Towson student and nearby resident.

Anyone with information is asked to call Baltimore County police at 410-887-2361.
