RadioOnFire.com – Contradicting the determination by Police Commissioner Michael Harrison that Detective Sean Suiter took his own life, State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby said Thursday the investigation is still an “open and pending matter.”
Mosby did not elaborate on why her position differed from Harrison’s.
“So what I can say is I can’t comment on open and pending matters,” Mosby said in a press conference.
On Wednesday, Harrison said a review by Maryland State Police, which followed an independent review commissioned by former Police Commissioner Darryl De Sousa, had eliminated all other possibilities.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner had already determined the death was a homicide. Asked Thursday whether that finding will change, a spokesman deferred to Mosby’s office, saying they don’t discuss cases under investigation.
