RadioOnFire.com – A Baltimore jury Wednesday convicted a man of second-degree murder in the killing of 7-year-old Taylor Hayes.

WBAL-TV 11 reports Keon Gray, 30, was charged with first- and second-degree murder in the July 5, 2018 shooting. Taylor was shot while she was sitting in the back seat of a car in southwest Baltimore. She died a couple weeks later.

The jury sent multiple notes to the judge as they worked through the 19 criminal charges. Jurors ultimately returned guilty verdicts on seven of the 19 counts.

Gray was also found guilty of first-degree assault of Darnell Holmes and Malik Edison, and firearms charges related to them.

The jury worked through lunch Wednesday and had deliberated for more than 12 hours prior to returning their verdict.
