RadioOnFire.com – Governor Larry Hogan announced Saturday that he will not run for the Republican nomination for President next year.
Hogan says he plans to form a non-profit advocacy group known as An America United.
Hogan says it will bring “a bi-partisan and common-sense solution” to various issues.
Hogan says he will continue serve his second term as Governor and serve as the incoming chairman of the National Governor’s Association.
“That work is important, and I believe both of those roles will give me the opportunity to make an impact on the direction of my party and our nation,” Hogan said in a statement.
Hogan told WBAL’s Bryan Nehman earlier this year that he had considered a run for President.
He has been a frequent critic of President Trump on several issues.
Hogan says he sees An America United as away to “play a major national role in the years ahead, both within my own party and in the path our country takes”
