RadioOnFire.com – Gov. Larry Hogan visited Tuesday with wounded Baltimore police Sgt. Isaac Carrington at Shock Trauma.

Hogan said on Twitter it was “great to see that he is on the mend and that his sense of humor is none the worse for wear.”

“The First Lady and I ask that you continue to join us in praying for Sgt. Isaac Carrington’s quick and full recovery,” Hogan said. “On behalf of a grateful state, we thank those who serve and protect the people of Maryland

Carrington was shot multiple times last week during what police said was an attempted robbery outside his home in northeast Baltimore. Carrington remains in serious condition.

On Sunday, Carrington, joined by Police Commissioner Michael Harrison, delivered a recorded message assuring Baltimoreans of his return.

“Baltimore, I love you all,” Carrington said. “I’m 10-8 (in service), I’ll be back.”
