Federal lawsuit filed against Georgia over abortion law

RadioOnFire.com – The American Civil Liberties Union of Georgia announced that a suit has been filed challenging House Bill 481, which outlaws abortions once doctors can detect a fetal heartbeat.

From the ACLU of Georgia, Planned Parenthood and others’ lawsuit asking a federal court to block the Heartbeat Abortion Law: Here’s a big one: they’re challenging the personhood provision for violating right to privacy+liberty/14th Amendment, and say because the bill’s language doesn’t specify HOW personhood changes other sections (pregnant women in jail, for ex) it’s impossible to comply.
