RadioOnFire.com - Yesterday (March 25), it was revealed that attorney Michael Avenatti had been charged with various crimes that include extortion as well as bank and tax fraud, and sure enough, his heavy involvement in R. Kelly's upcoming trial has led to questions about the overall integrity of the case. It was was well-documented when several weeks ago Avenatti unearthed the new alleged R. Kelly sex tape and handed it over to Cook County investigators, yet now Kelly's attorney, Steve Greenberg, is suggesting that there may be an issue of "chain of custody," regarding the questionable methods Avenatti may have employed to acquire the tape. Additionally, Greenberg added that it's possible that Avenatti may have altered the tape as well, keeping in mind that based on the litany of charges against him, his ethics and integrity have been compromised altogether. Meanwhile, sources close to the case are now saying that the man who handed the tape over to Avenatti has a history of extorting Kelly, who's even admitted to prosecutors that Kelly had paid him close to a million dollars to keep the tape from going public earlier. With all that said, now people are wondering the circumstances of how Avenatti may have obtained the tape from the man in question.
