RadioOnFire.com – A man was arrested early Thursday after firing on a Baltimore County police officer in Overlea, police said.

Just after 2:30 a.m., an officer was in the area of Springwood and Marglenn roads when he saw a man holding a handgun while walking down Marglenn Road. The officer got out of his patrol car and ordered the man to show his hands. The man ignored those commands.

He then ran down Marglenn Road and onto Raspe Avenue. He fired his handgun at the officer, but the shot missed, police said. The officer lost sight of the man and did not fire his service weapon.

The man was found and arrested on Old Home Road without further incident, police said. Police found two handguns in the area of the 400 block of Old Home Road.

The man has not yet been identified. Charges are pending, police said.
