A Baltimore City police officer who was caught on camera hitting a woman on Friday night will not face criminal charges.
However, the officer had his police powers suspended during the investigation.
The video showed the woman hit an officer in the face twice. Then a second officer on the scene, hits the woman in the face and knocks her out.
City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby said because the action was in the defense of another person, it was not criminal.
That said, Mosby believed there were better ways the officer should have handled the situation and the police department should look at its policies of using a closed fist strike to the face.
Should the cop face charges? Let us know below.
