A Spirit Airlines flight from Minneapolis landed safely at BWI Marshall Airport on Friday after reports of a medical emergency on board.
There is no evidence the incident aboard flight 614 had any connection to the coronavirus and neither passengers nor crew members showed symptoms of the virus, Spirit spokesman Field Sutton said in an email.
The flight landed on schedule around 8:49 a.m, BWI spokesman Jonathan Dean said.
BWI Fire and Rescue crews took four flight attendants to an area hospital for evaluation out of an abundance of caution, Sutton said. No passengers needed medical attention.
The plane will undergo maintenance checks and a deep cleaning, Sutton said, and passengers will be issued travel credits.
