Last month, during the height of his ICE arrest regarding his potential deportation, 21 Savage turned himself in for charges of felony theft after blowing off a paid performance from 2016, though weeks later all criminal charges related to the matter were dropped.
With that said, the D.A. had simply decided that the matter was to be handled as a civil case, thus the promoter involved has decided to move forward with a lawsuit against the artist for $1 million dollars.
According to TMZ, Sadaetirs Kent Smith was the promoter that paid 21 Savage $17K for a performance he later bailed on, who also never returned the money at any point thereafter. In regards to the lawsuit amounting to one million, Smith claims the breach of contract caused severe emotional distress.
