Baltimore police are investigating after a triple shooting in west Baltimore Monday night left a woman dead.

Officers were called to Appleton Street shortly after 9 p.m. for a report of a Shotspotter alert. Officers found three people suffering from gunshot wounds: a 25-year-old man, a 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman.


The men are in the hospital receiving treatment for their injuries. The 18-year-old woman died at the hospital from her injuries, a spokesperson with the Baltimore Police Department said.

During his swearing-in ceremony, Baltimore police Commissioner Michael Harrison appealed for public's help with information about the triple shooting.

"Someone knows what happened," Harrison said
